As an OCAD University graduate (class of 2009), Joanna has an extensive background in photography. In 2011 she supervised the undergraduate thesis program as a Tutorial Assistant working as part of OCADU’s Photography & Friends residency program. In assisting with leading classes at OCADU and working as a TA, Joanna built strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both orally and in writing, and at all organizational levels. Her own personal Fine Art work has been on display in 28 group exhibitions throughout the GTA, published in 22 books, newspapers and magazines and has won several awards from the community. She has considerable experience developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating art programs and exhibitions for both herself and for others.


In 2012 Joanna completed the George Brown College Food and the Media Certificate program to improve her food styling skills. Upon graduation Joanna began a freelance photography practice. Running her own business has given her considerable experience in taking initiative; working both independently and as part of a team; resolving conflicts; providing quality customer service; and engaging in public relations and marketing initiatives. Joanna also worked as the curator of the Beaches Jazz Multi-Arts and Photography program as the program manager of an Ontario Trillium Foundation Community Grant program Initiative (2015 &2016).
